Suspension of Disbelief: DUNE (1984)

During the knife fight climax (all good movies end in a knife fight) Feyd-Rautha asks to use the emperor's blade. Wouldn't The Emperor of the Known Universe have a less chintzier-looking knife than the one Feyd wields? Surely the emperor could afford a bejeweled dagger of the finest wootz???
