Suspension of Disbelief: I LOVE YOU PHILLIP MORRIS


Someone had the brainy idea to put a Scot & a Cannuck in a Southern gay movie. Those accents are terrible. I'm sure much vocal coaching was needed. But one would at least think Jim Carrey, if he wants to be taken as a serious actor, could master this. But apparently even Ewen McGregor seems to think all American southerners talk and sound G-A-Y.

Would Stephen Spielberg make a gay movie about a shetl in the pale of the settlement, starring Kiwi & OZ actors, with accents like Paul Hogan and Jacko? WTF? Does anyone else detect an anti-Southern hidden agenda or am I the only bible thumping, NRA-supporting racist?
