Suspension of Disbelief: SHERLOCK GNOMES

Real duct tape doesn't behave as depicted.

I know it's a minor quibble. But adhesives don't slide off in the rain in one filmic, organic -looking mise en scène. Could be some kind of smart, futuristic nano Duct-Tape, I suppose. only made available to gnomes? 

BTW, I know who I'd put into Traitors' Gate if I ran the UK.
